Desktop Preset Guide
1. Download the XMP Files for Lightroom Desktop
Once you have purchased your presets, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download them. Download the files to an easily accessible folder so you can import them into Lightroom Classic CC.
2. Load Your Preset into Lightroom
- Open Adobe Lightroom Classic on your computer.
- Click on the ‘Develop’ tab.
- In the presets panel on the left, click the + sign and select ‘Import Presets’.
3. Open Your Preset Files
- After clicking ‘Import Presets’, a window will appear to select the presets you want to import.
- Locate the correct files and click ‘Import’.
- The imported presets will be visible in the side panel under ‘User Presets’.
4. How to Use the Presets
- Go back to the ‘Library’ tab to import your photos.
- After importing your photos, select the photo you want to edit.
- From the presets panel, select the desired preset.
Note: While all presets are designed and tested to work on most photos, some minor adjustments to contrast or exposure may be needed depending on the lighting of your image.
Mobile Preset Guide
1. Transfer the DNG Files to Your Device
Once you have purchased your presets, you will receive an email with instructions on how to download them. After downloading the mobile DNG preset files, transfer them to your device. This can be done by emailing them to yourself or transferring them via Google Drive or iCloud Drive.
2. Load Your Preset into Lightroom
- Open the Adobe Lightroom app on your phone.
- Click the three dots in the upper right corner and select ‘Add Photos’ to import the presets from your camera roll.
- It’s normal for the presets to appear as grey squares in your camera roll. They will still work once uploaded to Lightroom.
3. Save Your Presets
- After opening the preset in Lightroom, select the photo and click the three dots in the upper right corner again.
- Select ‘Create Preset’ and give your preset a name.
- Once complete, click the checkbox in the upper right corner.
4. How to Use the Presets
- To use your new preset, import a photo you want to edit and select it.
- Scroll through the tools panel and select the ‘Presets’ button.
- From here, you can select your newly downloaded presets and edit your photos with just one click!
Note: While all presets are designed and tested to work on most photos, some minor adjustments to contrast or exposure may be needed depending on the lighting of your image.
